Awareness Through Movement is the verbally guided approach to the Feldenkrais Method. Mindfulness around small, simple movements can positively impact more complex actions. You will be guided to take your time and move slowly with attention through verbally instructed sequences, resulting in a general easing of unnecessary muscular effort and an improved range and quality of motion. During the Fall season, we will focus all our Feldenkrais classes on improving your posture. No more "hump" backs, or slouching! In healthy posture, our skeleton plays a major role in supporting us and helping to maintain our equilibrium. Unhealthy posture is exhausting, compromises our joints, uses more muscular effort to move, and affects us emotionally. It's time to understand your postural habits so that you can make positive changes that will stick. Classes are offered weekly on Mondays
