Service Description

Awareness Through Movement is the verbally guided approach to the Feldenkrais Method.  Mindfulness around small, simple movements can positively impact more complex actions. You will be guided to take your time and move slowly with attention through verbally instructed sequences, resulting in a general easing of unnecessary muscular effort and an improved range and quality of motion. Power Your Walk is a 6 week series with a particular focus on breaking down the complex action of walking. In addition to all the wonderful benefits of Awareness Through Movement (improved posture, reduced tension and pain, improved coordination and balance, etc.) you will understand various aspects of your gait and learn strategies to improve your movement. Many people report improved ease of motion, endurance, and power after completing the series.
